Brown stools are an indication of a healthy dog or cat. Stools that are brown-colored signify that your pet has strong digestive health and abundant good bacteria. This also means that your pet excretes regularly and daily.

Black-ish

Stools are dark-colored because they were in the large intestine for a long period of time. Black or very dark-colored stools suggest that your pet does not excrete regularly or on a daily basis. This means that your pet may have constipation. If your pet has a dark-colored stool, provide more fiber and water for your pet to facilitate digestion and excretion.

Light-ish (Light gray, yellow, etc.)
